Ilia Volok—a graduate of the Moscow Art Theatre School and a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio in Hollywood, California—stars as "Vladimir" in CROSSING, the new independent film from writer/director Arthur Ian.
A prolific actor of both stage and screen, Ilia Volok has appeared in over 170 films and television shows, including: Gemini Man, opposite Will Smith; Air Force One; Oliver Stone's U Turn; The Curious Case of Benjamin Button; and the 2018 action/thriller Hunter Killer, opposite Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman. Volok has also recently featured in HBO's new series Minx, CBS's Magnum P.I., and Marvel's The Punisher. In addition, his one-man show Diary of A Madman won the LA Weekly Theater Award for Best Solo Performance.
In CROSSING, Ilia Volok delivers an exceptional performance as "Vladimir," a self-assured and humorous man from the former Soviet Union. As those close to him cope with grave health concerns, mounting medical bills, and the sudden unease and insecurity brought forth by the Great Recession, Vladimir's indefatigable sense of levity serves as the necessary counterbalance to the persistent stressors of the day.
